Almond Berry Topping - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/4 c. chopped fresh strawberries
    1/2 c. peeled and chopped kiwi
    1 c. sugar
    1/4 c. pear nectar
    1/4 tsp. vanilla extract
    1/4 tsp. almond extract
    1/4 c. toasted almonds, chopped
Preparation
    Combine strawberries, kiwi, sugar, and nectar in small 2-quart saucepan. Bring to a boil then reduce heat to low and let cook for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
    Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract, almond extract, and almonds. Return to medium heat and continue cooking for about 2 minutes. Pour into a sterilized jar and seal well.
    Allow to cool slightly before refrigerating.
    Great served over cream cheese.
