Svensk Livets Brod - cooking recipe
Ingredients

5 c. unbleached flour
3 c. whole wheat flour
1/4 c. water
1 Tbsp. sugar
2 oz. yeast (better from potato water)
1 egg
2 c. milk
1/4 c. brown sugar
1 Tbsp. salt
6 Tbsp. chicken fat
Preparation

Mix 3 cups unbleached flour, wheat flour, water, sugar and yeast into bowl.
Beat in egg.
Combine milk, brown sugar, salt and chicken fat into a pan and bring to a boil.
Let cool.
Add milk/chicken fat mixture to flour/yeast mixture.
Add remaining unbleached flour (sifted) to mixture and stir until satin consistency.
Knead dough.
You may add cinnamon and sugar to dough.
Can be made into rolls or loaves.
For loaves, grease pan and let rise to 1-inch from top.
Bake at 375\u00b0 for 5 minutes and reduce heat to 350\u00b0 for 35 minutes or until brown on top.
Do not overbake!
Remove immediately from pan and let cool.
Serves 4.
