Cajun Shrimp - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 qt. water
    1 large lemon, quartered
    5 lb. unpeeled large fresh shrimp
    2 c. vegetable oil
    1/4 c. hot sauce
    1 Tbsp. olive oil
    1 Tbsp. minced garlic
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 tsp. Old Bay
    1 1/2 tsp. dried whole basil
    1 1/2 tsp. dried whole oregano
    1 1/2 tsp. dried whole thyme
    1 1/2 tsp. minced fresh parsley
    red leaf lettuce
Preparation
    Bring water and lemon to a boil; add shrimp and cook 3 to 5 minutes.
    Drain well.
    Rinse with ice cold water.
    Peel and devein shrimp; place in a large bowl or gallon size Ziploc bag.
    Combine remaining ingredients except lettuce.
    Beat with a wire whisk. Pour over shrimp and toss.
    Cover.
    Chill 8 hours.
    Drain shrimp; serve in a lettuce-lined bowl.
