Caramels - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. sugar
    2 c. (1 bottle) Karo syrup
    2 cans Carnation evaporated milk (small)
    6 Tbsp. butter
    1/2 Tbsp. paraffin wax
    1 c. ground pecans
    2 c. chopped pecans
Preparation
    Mix sugar, Karo syrup, butter and 1/2 can milk.
    Bring to boil.
    Add balance of milk slowly as to not stop boil.
    Stir to 248\u00b0 on a candy thermometer.
    Keep boiling slowly.
    Turn heat off. Add wax and nuts.
    Pour into buttered pans.
    Let sit.
    Score to cut.
    Wrap individually or place in small cupcake holders.
