Chocolate Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. sugar
1/4 c. cornstarch
1/2 tsp. salt
2 3/4 c. milk
3 large egg yolks
3 sq. (3 oz.) unsweetened chocolate
1 Tbsp. butter or margarine
1 tsp. vanilla
1 baked pie shell
sweetened whipped cream
Preparation

Combine sugar, cornstarch and salt in large saucepan. Gradually stir in milk.
Bring to a boil over medium-high heat; stirring gently.
Boil 1 minute.
Remove from heat.
Beat egg yolks lightly in small bowl; gradually whisk in 1 cup of hot mixture and return to saucepan.
Return to boil and cook 1 minute. Remove from heat.
Coarsely chop chocolate.
Whisk in chocolate, butter and vanilla until smooth.
Pour into baked pie crust.
Cook 15 minutes on wire rack.
Cover with wax paper.
Refrigerate 3 hours.
Top with sweetened whipped cream.
