Buttermilk Rolls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. yeast
    1/4 c. warm water
    1 3/4 c. buttermilk
    1/4 c. sugar
    2 tsp. salt
    1/4 c. shortening
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    4 1/2 to 5 c. flour
Preparation
    Dissolve yeast in the 1/4 cup warm water.
    Heat buttermilk to lukewarm;
    add
    sugar,
    salt,
    shortening, soda, flour and dissolved yeast.
    Knead
    until
    smooth.
    Shape into rolls. Place in a warm
    place.
    Brush tops with melted butter.
    Cover and let rise until double.\tBake at 400\u00b0 for 15 to 20 minutes.
