Applesauce Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1/2 c. shortening (room temperature)
1 large egg
2 1/2 c. sifted flour
2 tsp. soda
1 tsp. cloves
1 c. broken nuts
1 1/2 c. unsweetened apples
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. chopped raisins
1/2 c. boiling water

Preparation

Mix ingredients thoroughly.
Bake for 45 minutes to 1 hour at 325\u00b0, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
