Black Chocolate Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. flour
    1/2 c. cocoa
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 beaten egg
    1/3 c. melted shortening
    1 c. hot water
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Sift together sugar, flour, cocoa, soda and salt.
    Mix in beaten egg.
    Add melted shortening, hot water and vanilla and mix well.
    Mixture will be thin.
    Pour into greased and floured 8 x 8-inch pan.
    Bake for 25 minutes at 350\u00b0.
    Recipe can be doubled or tripled and baked in a 13 x 9-inch pan.
