Tortilla Chips - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. flour
    1 c. yellow cornmeal
    4 tsp. baking powder
    1 Tbsp. shortening
    1 egg, beaten
    1 1/2 c. cold water
    cooking oil
Preparation
    In large bowl, mix flour, cornmeal and baking powder.
    Mix in shortening with fork.
    Stir in egg and water to form a stiff dough. Knead 5 minutes.
    Divide into four equal parts.
    Roll each into a 10-inch square, about 1/8-inch thick; cut into 2-inch squares. Divide each square into 2 triangles.
    Fry in 1-inch hot oil (about 360\u00b0) for 2 minutes, or until golden on both sides.
    Drain on paper towels.
    Sprinkle with popcorn salt.
    Store in airtight containers or plastic bags.
