Date Nut Roll - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1 (10 oz.) pkg. chopped dates
    1/2 c. chopped pecans
    1 c. milk
    1 c. shredded coconut
Preparation
    Boil sugar and milk to soft ball stage.
    Add
    chopped, pitted dates and cook until mixture leaves sides and bottom of pan when stirred.
    Remove from heat.
    Add other ingredients and beat until thick.
    Turn onto damp cloth and shape into roll.
    Refrigerate.
