Sand Dabs - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. Crisco shortening
    1 c. confectioners sugar
    2 c. plain flour
    dash of salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 Tbsp. water
    1 c. chopped pecans
Preparation
    Cream shortening and sugar until creamy.
    Add flour, salt, vanilla and water.
    Mix into a very stiff dough with hands.
    Add pecans.
    Form into 1-inch logs and place on ungreased cookie sheets.
    Bake at 300\u00b0 for 45 minutes until only lightly brown.
