Vegetable Stew - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. carrots, cubed
1/2 c. onion, sliced and sauteed
1/2 c. celery, chopped
1 c. diced potatoes, scrubbed
1/4 c. green pepper, chopped
1 tsp. salt
2 c. fresh frozen peas
2 Tbsp. tomato puree
1/4 c. parsley, chopped
1 tsp. tarragon (dried)
1 tsp. oregano (dried)
1 tsp. sweet basil (dried)
1 tsp. savory (dried)
Preparation

Steam first 6 ingredients in as little water as possible until carrots and potatoes are tender.
Near the end of cooking, add peas, tomato puree and parsley.
Steam just until peas are tender, about 3 minutes.
Let stand, covered, a few minutes before serving.
