Fried Cheese Grits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. quick cooking grits
    4 c. water
    2 c. cheese
    1/4 tsp. black pepper
    flour
    vegetable oil
Preparation
    Grease an 8-inch square baking pan.
    Cook the grits in the water until absorbed.
    Stir in the cheese and black pepper; pour into pan.
    Cover; refrigerate 4 hours.
    Cut grits into 4-inch bars; remove from pan.
    Coat with flour.
    Arrange on cookie sheet; refrigerate 30 minutes more.
    Heat 2 inches of vegetable oil. Coat grits again with flour.
    Fry until golden.
    Drain on paper towels.
    Serve hot with cheese sauce.
