Oven Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. chuck
    1 large or 2 small onions
    6 carrots
    6 celery stalks
    1/2 green pepper
    1/2 lb. sliced mushrooms
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 lb. can diced tomatoes
    3/4 c. dry red wine
    1/4 c. dry bread crumbs
    1/4 c. quick cooking tapioca
Preparation
    Cut meat into 2-inch cubes.
    Peel and halve carrots.
    Quarter celery stalks.
    Cut onion in eighths.
    Combine all ingredients in large Dutch oven with tight cover.
    Cook in 300\u00b0 oven for 4 hours. Do not uncover while cooking.
    Pan may be covered with foil under the cover to insure tightness.
    Serves 6 generously.
