Rice Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 gal. milk
    1 c. water
    1 c. rice
    1/4 c. sugar
    1/4 lb. butter
    3 eggs
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. (or more if desired) raisins
    cinnamon and nutmeg
Preparation
    Combine the first 5 ingredients in a large pot over medium gas until it comes to slow boil.
    Turn gas to simmer for about 35 minutes.
    Turn off gas. Combine in a bowl the eggs, sugar and vanilla.
    Mix well. Add mixture to pot and stir well. Add the raisins.
    Pour in a baking dish and sprinkle with cinnamon and nutmeg.
    Cover and let cool.
    Refrigerate.
