Lemon Meringue Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/4 c. sugar
    4 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1 1/8 c. hot water
    2 1/4 Tbsp. butter
    3 Tbsp. lemon juice
Preparation
    Mix sugar and cornstarch in saucepan.
    Stir hot water in gradually.
    Cook over moderate heat, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens and boils.
    Boil 1 minute.
    Slowly stir half the hot mixture in saucepan.
    Boil 1 minute longer, stirring constantly.
    Remove from heat.
    Continue stirring until smooth. Blend in butter and lemon juice.
    Pour into baked pie shell; cover with meringue.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 until delicately brown.
