Date Balls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 lb. butter
    1 c. white sugar
    1 c. dates, cut up
    1 egg
    1 c. Rice Krispies
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 c. nuts
Preparation
    Melt butter.
    Add sugar, dates and beaten egg.
    Cook about 20 to 30 minutes until dates are fine.
    Remove from stove; add Rice Krispies, vanilla and nuts.
    Let cool.
    Roll and shape.
    Roll in fine coconut.
