Hot Pepper Jelly - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3/4 c. hot peppers, ground
1 1/4 c. green peppers, ground
1 1/2 c. white vinegar
6 1/2 c. sugar
juice of 1 lemon
1 (6 oz.) bottle Certo
red or green food coloring
Preparation

Remove seeds and veins from peppers and chop fine in the blender.
Can use some of vinegar to help chop in blender.
Mix all ingredients except Certo and food coloring.
Cook on low heat 45 minutes.
Bring to a rolling boil for 1 minute.
Remove from heat and let stand 5 minutes, then add Certo and your choice of food coloring.
Seal in sterilized jars.
Makes 6 to 7 half pints. May spread on cream cheese and serve on crackers.
