Oven Barbecued Spareribs - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. ribs, cut up
    2 Tbsp. shortening
    3/4 c. catsup
    1 sliced onion
    1/2 c. hot water
    3 Tbsp. brown sugar
    2 tsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. vinegar
    1/4 Tbsp. hot sauce
    1/8 tsp. chili powder
Preparation
    Brown floured ribs in shortening.
    Put in small roaster. Combine rest of ingredients and pour over ribs.
    Cover and bake 2 hours at 350\u00b0.
    Add more water, as needed.
