Cathy Janke'S Tea Cakes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. margarine or 1/2 c. margarine and 1/2 c. shortening
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    4 c. sifted flour
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. vanilla
    pinch of salt
Preparation
    Cream margarine (or margarine and shortening) until smooth and creamy.
    Add sugar, beating well.
    Add eggs, one at a time.
    Add flour, soda and salt, one cup at a time.
    Add only as much as needed to roll out dough and cut cookies without dough falling apart.
    (This will be about 3 cups for a single recipe.
    Use fourth cup for rolling out.)
    Add vanilla; mix well.
    Roll out to about 3/8-inch thickness or thinner if desired.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 to 375\u00b0 until lightly browned on edges.
