Old Fashioned Au Gratin Potatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. potatoes, cooked
    1/2 c. chopped onions
    1/4 c. margarine
    1 Tbsp. flour
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    2 c. milk
    2 c. shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
    1/4 c. fine dry bread crumbs
Preparation
    Prepare potatoes and slice thin. Cook onions and margarine until onions are clear. Stir in flour, salt and pepper, cooking over low heat until bubbly. Remove from heat. Stir in milk and 1 1/2 cups of cheese. Heat to boiling, stirring constantly. Boil and stir 1 minute. Place potatoes in ungreased 1 1/2-quart pan. Pour cheese sauce over. Cook, uncovered, at 375\u00b0 for 1 hour or 325\u00b0 for 1 hour and 20 minutes. Combine remaining cheese and bread crumbs and top final 15 minutes of baking.
