Best Chocolate Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2 c. flour
1 tsp. soda
1/2 c. shortening
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. sugar
1/2 Tbsp. baking powder
1/4 c. buttermilk
2 eggs
6 oz. melted unsweetened chocolate (cool)

Preparation

Heat oven to 350\u00b0.
Grease and flour baking pan (13 x 9 x 2-inch) or two 9-inch or three 8-inch round layer pans.
Mix all into a large mixer bowl.
Blend 1/2 minute on low speed, scraping bowl constantly.
Beat 3 minutes on high speed, scraping bowl occasionally.
Pour evenly into pan(s).
