Egg Custard Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 eggs, slightly beaten
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. sugar
3 c. sweet milk
1/2 tsp. vanilla
nutmeg
Preparation

Combine eggs, salt and sugar.
Add milk and vanilla slowly. Line pie pan with pastry.
Pour in filling and sprinkle with nutmeg.
Bake in very hot oven at 450\u00b0 for 10 minutes.
Reduce temperature to low, 325\u00b0, and bake 30 to 40 minutes longer or until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.
Makes one 9-inch pie.
