Green Pepper Steak - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. chuck or round beef steak (fat trimmed)
1/4 c. soy sauce
1 clove garlic
1 Tbsp. cornstarch
1/4 c. salad oil
2 tomatoes, cut into wedges
1 c. green peppers (1-inch squares)
2 celery stalks, sliced
1/2 tsp. ground ginger
1 c. water
1 c. sliced green onion
Preparation

Cut beef across the grain into thin strips, 1/8-inch thick. Combine soy sauce, garlic and ginger.
Add beef and set aside while preparing vegetables.
Heat oil in large skillet or wok. Add beef and toss over high heat until browned and tender.
Add vegetables and toss for about 10 minutes.
Vegetables should be tender but still crisp.
Mix cornstarch with water.
Add to pan and stir until thickened.
Add tomatoes and heat through.
