Half-Way House Beans - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 slices bacon
    1 medium onion, chopped
    3 large tomatoes, diced or 1 can whole tomatoes
    1 tsp. sugar
    2 cans green beans
    1 tsp. each: salt and pepper
Preparation
    Fry bacon, drain.
    Use bacon drippings to saute onions.
    Add tomatoes, sugar, salt and pepper and cook for 4 to 5 minutes.
    Add green beans and bacon and cook an additional 15 minutes.
    This may be placed in a casserole with bread crumbs on top.
