Pastry For 2-Crust Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. salt
1/2 c. lard
1/4 c. shortening
5 to 6 Tbsp. cold water
Preparation

Begin 1 hour ahead.
In medium bowl with fork, combine flour and salt.
With pastry blender or 2 knives used scissor fashion, cut in lard and shortening until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Sprinkle in cold water a tablespoon at a time, mixing lightly with fork after each addition until pastry just holds together.
With hands, shape pastry into a ball.
Wrap in waxed paper and refrigerate about 30 minutes while making pie filling, if desired.
