Cynthia'S Grandma'S Biscuits - cooking recipe

5 c. self-rising flour
1/4 c. sugar
3/4 c. shortening
1 pkg. dry yeast
2 Tbsp. warm water
2 c. buttermilk
Preparation

Sift flour and sugar. Cut in shortening. Dissolve yeast in warm water and add to buttermilk and pour into flour mixture. Knead lightly. Pinch off biscuits as needed. Bake at 450\u00b0 for 10 to 12 minutes. Can be stored in refrigerator up to 2 weeks, wrapped tightly.
