Blue Ribbon Fudge - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    3 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. Karo
    2 sq. dark unsweetened chocolate
    3/4 c. milk
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    In a thick saucepan or iron skillet, cook to a soft ball stage the butter, sugar, Karo, chocolate and milk.
    Remove from heat; add vanilla and beat with electric mixer until thick.
    Spread quickly in buttered 6 x 8-inch dish (not 9 x 13-inch).
    You can add chopped walnuts (1/2 cup) if you like.
