Ginger Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    3/4 c. shortening
    1 egg
    1/4 c. molasses
    2 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. ginger
    1/4 tsp. cloves
    2 c. flour
Preparation
    Cream sugar and shortening.
    Add egg and molasses; mix well. Add dry ingredients.
    Shape into small balls.
    Roll in sugar and place on cookie sheet 2 1/2 to 3 inches apart.
    Bake for 10 to 12 minutes at 350\u00b0.
    Done when well browned and surface has cracked.
