Peachy Picnic Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. butter or margarine
    1 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    3/4 tsp. almond extract
    1 3/4 c. flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    3/4 c. milk
    1 1/2 c. thinly sliced fresh peaches
    2 Tbsp. lemon juice
    1/2 c. butter or margarine
    3/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar
    1/2 c. flaked coconut
    2 Tbsp. half and half
    1 tsp. almond extract
Preparation
    Combine 1/4 cup butter and sugar; beat well.
    Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
    Add 3/4 teaspoon almond extract; mix well.
