Mexican Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. ground beef
    1 small chopped onion
    2 or 3 cloves garlic, minced
    3 c. Cheddar cheese
    1 small can diced green chilies
    1 (15 oz.) can tomato puree
    6 corn tortillas (fresh)
Preparation
    Set aside 1 cup of cheese.
    Brown meat, onion and garlic together.
    Add tomato puree and simmer 7 to 10 minutes.
    Add green chilies.
