Pork Chop And Apple Bake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 pork chops
    salt and pepper
    6 apple slices (1/2-inch thick)
    2 Tbsp. brown sugar
    1/2 c. Claret or Burgundy
Preparation
    Sprinkle chops with salt and pepper.
    Arrange in shallow baking dish.
    Bake in hot oven (400\u00b0) until browned.
    Top with apple slices; sprinkle brown sugar over apples.
    Reduce heat to 350\u00b0.
    Pour 1/4 cup wine over chops.
    After 10 minutes, add remaining wine.
    Bake 20 minutes longer, basting occasionally with wine from dish.
    Serves 6.
