Sourdough Chocolate Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. sourdough starter
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1/4 c. nonfat dry milk
    1 c. water
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 1/2 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 eggs
    2 (3 oz.) sq. semi-sweet or unsweetened chocolate
Preparation
    Combine sourdough starter, flour, nonfat dry milk and water; mix.
    Cover and let stand 2 to 3 hours.
    Cream shortening.
    Over shortening, sift sugar, salt, cinnamon and soda.
    Add 1 teaspoon vanilla.
    Add eggs, one at a time, mixing after each.
    Add sourdough mixture to creamed mixture.
    Stir in semi-sweet or unsweetened chocolate (melted and cooled).
    Mix well.
