Rice Pilau Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. uncooked rice
    2 tsp. butter or margarine
    1 lb. chicken livers (fresh or quick frozen)
    1 (3 oz.) can sliced mushrooms
    1 (10 1/2 oz.) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
    1/3 c. milk
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    2 Tbsp. finely cut parsley
    2 Tbsp. white wine
    1/4 c. chopped pistachio or pignoli nuts
Preparation
    Start oven at moderate (350\u00b0). Grease 2-quart casserole.
    Cook rice until tender, according to package directions, and all water is absorbed.
    Melt butter or margarine in skillet.
    Saute chicken livers 5 minutes or until lightly browned.
    Add mushrooms and their liquid, soup, milk, pepper, parsley and wine.
    Cook until hot and smooth.
    Mix with rice. Pour into prepared casserole.
    Top with nuts.
    Bake 30 minutes.
    Makes 4 to 6 servings.
