German Chocolate Brownies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. German chocolate cake mix (Pillsbury)
    3/4 c. oleo
    2/3 c. evaporated milk
    1 c. nuts
    14 oz. pkg. caramels
    6 oz. pkg. chocolate chips (Nestle)
Preparation
    Mix together dry cake mix, oleo (room temperature), 1/3 cup milk and nuts.
    Press 1/2 of mixture into 9 x 13 x 2-inch pan (metal), greased.
    Bake 7 minutes at 350\u00b0.
    Melt caramels and 1/3 cup milk.
    Smear over baked crust.
    Sprinkle chocolate chips over this.
    Spread rest of cake mixture on top.
    Bake 15 to 20 minutes at 350\u00b0.
    Let cool.
    Refrigerate 30 minutes, then cut into squares.
