Great Yeast Rolls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. RapidRise yeast
    1/3 c. sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    1/3 c. shortening
    1 egg, well beaten
    2 1/4 c. sifted plain flour
    1 c. warm water
Preparation
    Melt shortening and add 1 cup warm water.
    Cool to touch.
    In a large bowl, mix together all dry ingredients including the yeast.
    Add cooled liquid and beaten egg to mixture.
    Mix well. Add more flour, if necessary, until you have a good working consistency.
    Cover bowl; let rest 10 minutes.
    Knead for 1 minute.
    Roll dough out to desired thickness.
    Cut and place on greased cookie sheet.
    Cover; let rise until double in size.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 15 minutes; increase to 425\u00b0 and bake for 10 minutes. Yields 3 1/2 dozen.
