Ginger Crackles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. flour
    3/4 c. shortening
    1 Tbsp. ginger
    2 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. sugar
    1 egg (unbeaten)
    1/2 c. molasses
    sugar (used to roll dough in)
Preparation
    Measure dry ingredients
    together.
    Cream shortening and sugar.
    Beat in eggs and molasses.
    Blend all together.
    Form into 1-inch balls.
    Roll in sugar.
    Place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 12 to 15 minutes.
    They get crisp as they cool.
