Sherried Onions - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    18 fresh small white onions
    1/4 c. butter
    1/2 tsp. sugar
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1/4 c. sherry
    snipped fresh parsley
Preparation
    In saucepan, simmer whole, peeled onions in salted water until just tender.
    Drain and return to pan.
    Add butter, sugar, pepper and sherry.
    Cook, uncovered, 5 minutes.
    Sprinkle with parsley. Serves 6.
