Tomato And Apple Casserole - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 (no. 2) can quartered apples
2 1/2 c. tomatoes (not whole; do not use all the juice; these can be home canned)
1/2 c. sugar
4 Tbsp. oleo or butter
3 slices toasted bread
nutmeg
salt
Preparation

Make alternating layers of apples and tomatoes.
Season with a little salt and nutmeg. Sprinkle sugar on top, then top with bread crumbs.
Dot
with
oleo
and
bake
at 350\u00b0 for 45 minutes.
Use 1 quart casserole. Serves 4 to 6.
