Breakfast Muffins - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sifted self-rising flour
    1 egg
    2 to 4 Tbsp. melted shortening
    1 c. sweet milk
Preparation
    Mix milk and beaten egg and add dry ingredients.
    Add melted shortening.
    Beat well for only a few seconds.
    Fill greased muffin tins about 1/2 or 2/3 full.
    Bake in moderate oven (375\u00b0 to 400\u00b0) for 20 to 25 minutes.
    May be prepared and refrigerated overnight.
    Serve with plenty of butter.
