Potato Leek Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. butter
    3 c. water
    4 large leeks, sliced thin
    2 chicken bouillon cubes
    2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1/8 tsp. thyme
    1/8 tsp. dill weed
    3 medium potatoes, peeled and sliced thin
    1 1/2 c. milk
    2 c. mashed potatoes
Preparation
    Simmer leeks in butter until tender.
    Add water, chicken bouillon cubes, all seasonings and sliced potatoes.
    Cook, uncovered, about 20 minutes.
    Add milk and mashed potatoes.
    Stir gently and heat to boiling.
