5 Hour Oven Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. boneless stew meat or round, cut in 1-inch cubes
    5 medium potatoes, pared and cut into eighths
    3 c. cut up carrots or chunks
    1 c. coarsely chopped onion
    1 c. celery, cut in 1/2-inch pieces
    2 (14 1/2 oz.) cans stewed tomatoes
    2 Tbsp. quick cooking tapioca
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
Preparation
    Combine all ingredients in a large bowl.
    Mix gently but well. Turn into a 3-quart casserole. Cover and bake at 275\u00b0 for 5 hours. Let stand 5 minutes before serving.
    Makes 6 servings.
