Ingredients

1/2 c. margarine
1/2 c. peanut butter
1 1/2 c. self-rising flour
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. packed brown sugar
1 egg
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. baking soda
Preparation

In a bowl, beat margarine and peanut butter with mixer on medium to high speed for 30 seconds.
Add 1/2 c. flour, sugar, egg,
baking soda and vanilla.
Beat until combined well.
Add remaining flour and mix well.
Shape into balls and place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet.
Flatten by crisscrossing with a fork.
Bake for 7 to 9 minutes or until bottoms are lightly browned.
Cool on wire rack.
Makes about 3 dozen cookies.
