Corn Chowder - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 oz. bacon
6 oz. onion
1 1/3 oz. flour
1 qt. chicken broth
1 c. cream-style corn
1 c. potatoes, cooked and diced
2 c. milk (hot)
Preparation

In soup pot fry bacon crisp, drain.
Add onion and cook until clear.
To bacon and onion add flour.
Cook on low heat 3 to 4 minutes.
Do not brown flour.
Add chicken broth to flour slowly; stir until smooth.
Add corn, potatoes and milk; heat through.
Do not bring to boil.
It will scorch easily.
Makes 8 portions.
