Zuurkool(Sauerkraut Hotchpotch) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 kg potatoes, (3 lb.)
    1 or 2 cans (1 can 411 gr) sauerkraut
    2 apples
    1 can pineapple
    1 c. (200 gr) raisins
    1 onion
    sausage (smoked)
    white wine (optional)
    milk
    pepper and ginger powder to taste
Preparation
    Soak the raisins in a bowl with a bit of wine.
    Boil the potatoes and mash them, use a little bit of milk.
    Put the sauerkraut in a pan and add the pineapple juice or white wine (not too much, it doesn't need a lot of moisture, like potatoes).
    Boil 10 minutes, then drain all the moisture from the sauerkraut and mix with mashed potatoes.
    In the meantime, you cut the onion, apple, pineapple and sausage in pieces.
    Fry the onion and sausage in the pan; add the raisins, apple, pineapple, some pepper and ginger powder and simmer for 10 minutes.
    Drain moisture and add to the sauerkraut and potato mix.
    If everything is hot you can eat it right away.
    If you want to heat it, put it in the oven for 30 to 40 minutes on 300\u00b0F/175\u00b0 C.
