Layered Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 head iceberg lettuce
    1/2 chopped green pepper
    1/2 chopped red pepper
    1/2 c. chopped celery
    1/2 c. red Spanish onion
    1 pkg. frozen peas
    1 1/2 c. mayonnaise plus 2 Tbsp. sugar spread over top
    4 oz. grated Cheddar cheese
    8 slices bacon, fried crisp and crumbled
Preparation
    Line 13 x 9-inch Pyrex with chopped iceberg lettuce, then layer on top of lettuce as follows: green pepper, red pepper, celery, red onion, frozen peas, mayonnaise, cheese and bacon. Refrigerate overnight.
