Meringue Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 large egg whites
    3/4 c. sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Beat egg whites until foamy. Gradually add sugar and continue to beat until meringue stands in stiff peaks. Fold in vanilla. Drop by teaspoonful about 1-inch apart on well-greased cookie sheet. Bake in slow oven (250\u00b0) for 40 to 50 minutes until cookies are firm but not brown. Remove at once from cookie sheet to wire racks. When cookies have cooled completely, store in a tightly covered container. Makes 30 cookies.
