Bread Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 eggs, slightly beaten
    3/4 c. sugar
    pinch of salt
    2 tsp. vanilla
    1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. nutmeg
    4 c. scalded milk
    3 c. cubed bread
    2 Tbsp. butter
    chopped apples, raisins or other desired fruit
Preparation
    Slightly butter a 1 1/2 quart baking dish.
    Stir eggs and blend in sugar, salt, vanilla and spices.
    Add milk slowly to bread cubes; add to mixture, stirring slowly.
    Add chopped apples, raisins or desired fruit.
    Dot with butter.
    Set in pan of hot water.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for about an hour.
