Slaw - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large cabbage, chopped fine
    1 large onion, diced
    1 large carrot, grated
    1 large bell pepper
    3/4 c. sugar
    3/4 c. vinegar
    1/2 tsp. mustard seed
    1/2 tsp. turmeric
Preparation
    Mix good sugar, vinegar, seed and turmeric.
    Let boil several minutes.
    Remove from heat and let cool.
    Pour over mixed vegetables, stirring well.
    Cover.
    Let set overnight in refrigerator.
