Baked Yellow Crookneck Squash - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
    2 cans cream of chicken soup
    1 can Durkee French fried onions
    salt and pepper to taste
    6 medium squash, sliced thin with skins on
    1 can mushroom stems and pieces
    garlic powder
    4 slices bread, dried and crumbed
Preparation
    Spray a 9 x 13-inch baking pan with a nonstick spray.
    Place half of the squash in pan. Top with half the mushrooms, cheese and bread crumbs.
    In a small bowl, mix together soup with 1 1/2 cans of water.
    Pour half of this mixture over squash. Sprinkle with garlic powder, salt and pepper.
    Repeat with remaining ingredients.
    Top with French fried onion rings and bake in a 350\u00b0 oven for 45 to 60 minutes.
